Physics (One-on-one or group tuition) (IB SL, GCSE, iGCSE)

-I am currently doing a PhD at Imperial College London

-MSc Biochemistry University of Oxford:I graduated in 2018 with a specialization in virology

-HL Maths 7/7; HL Physics 7/7; HL Chemistry 7/7; SL Geography 7/7; SL French 7/7; SL Enligsh: 6/7. I graduated in 2014 from United World College of South East Asia East Campus in Singapore

I taught at Oxford Royale Academy teaching Chemistry, Physics, and Academic Writing to students aged 16-18 in groups of 8 to 25 students. In my final years of high school and while studying at Oxford, I tutored students in groups of up to 5. I I specialize in preparing students for IB, A-levels, or IGCSEs exams, but I also have experience tutoring students as young as 8 years old.

My approach varies depending on the student’s needs and learning style. I push my students to think independently and to apply abstract concepts to real-world scenarios. I start with topics that the student is fairly comfortable with, progressing slowly to new and more complex areas as their understanding grows. I tend to use past exam paper questions on a particular topic to check understanding as we're going through the topic. Once a student has grasped a topic, I shift my focus to exam technique: what to look for in exam questions, common pitfalls, and how to start tackling the more challenging questions. I believe that a clear and systematic approach is essential when tacking exams in the sciences.

Over

I am a 23-year-old Belgian-Irish student who has just started a 4 year PhD at Imperial College London in the research area "The Molecular and Cellular Basis of Infection” with a focus on viruses.

I grew up a little all over the world having been born in South Africa and having lived in Swaziland, Poland, Bosnia, Belgium, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Timor Leste, and Singapore where I completed my International Baccalaureate at the United World College. After completing my IB in 2014, I moved to Oxford to attend a 4 year-integrated Master’s course in Biochemistry at the University of Oxford. After graduating from Oxford in the summer of 2018, I moved to Munich Germany for a virology internship at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. In February 2019 I began tutoring full time before the start of my PhD in October 2019.

I am an extremely active person and enjoy a variety of sports. I used to sail competitively internationally in the Laser 4.7 and Laser Radial Classes, and still sail during the holidays. Since being at university my love for rugby has also grown. However given my susceptibility to injury and clumsiness, I now only stick to Touch Rugby. I also boulder/rock climb as often as I can.

I have experience teaching and tutoring students aged 10-19 and I am comfortable with the iGCSE, GCSE, IB, A-Level, and EB (European Baccalaureate) syllabuses. I have in-depth experience tutoring both the iGCSE and IB in Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Geography. My approach varies depending on the student’s needs and learning style. I push my students to think independently and to apply abstract concepts to real-world scenarios. I start with topics that the student is fairly comfortable with, progressing quickly to new and more complex areas as their understanding grows. I tend to use past exam paper questions on a particular topic to check understanding as we're going through the topic. For IB and the IGCSE, I have made summary notes on each unit topic and have compiled past exam paper questions on that topic with answers. Once a student has grasped a topic, I shift my focus to exam technique: what to look for in exam questions, common pitfalls, and how to start tackling the more challenging questions. I believe that a clear and systematic approach is essential when studying for exams in the sciences.

Opleiding

I am currently doing a PhD in infectious disease at Imperial College London. I graduated from the University of Oxford with a Masters degree in Biochemistry in June 2018 and a bachelor degree in June 2017. I completed my IB diploma in 2014 receiving 7/7 in Higher Level Maths, Physics, and Chemistry and Standard Level Geography and French.

Tutoring Experience:
I have over 5 years of tutoring experience in Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Geography. I tutored part time during my undergraduate years at university, and I tutored full time post-graduation from February 2019-September 2019. During my time in Munich, I built up an international tutoring network of over 15 full time students. Many of my students attend international schools and I have tutored the following subjects: IB HL and SL Chemistry, IB HL Physics, IB HL and SL Biology, IB HL and SL Maths, IB SL Maths Studies, iGCSE double and triple science, iGCSE 0580 and 0607 Maths, iGCSE Geography, and iGCSE French. I have also tutored several students who follow the European Baccalaureate programme in Maths, Chemistry, and Biology. I have had 2 students under the age of 14, to help support them in Maths and general sciences.

Teaching Experience:
I worked as a teacher at Oxford Royale Academy in Oxford immediately after graduation. I taught Chemistry, Physics and Academic writing to classes of students aged 16-19. The class sizes were between 5-25 students. I really enjoy teaching a classroom of students, but I prefer the more personalised teaching approaches I can use with smaller groups of students.

Tutoring and support in science subjects at every educational level (also for deepening out of interest).
Building a good foundation for the science subjects is useful for everyone. It is especially essential that the teacher is skilled and didactic in building up the knowledge. I personally experienced that this was missing when I progressed from MBO level 2 to a PhD in physics at the University of Amsterdam. I would like to make a difference and send you on your way to the wonderful world of mathematics, physics and astronomy with a dose of self-confidence. For all secondary school levels and higher education, I can guide you with a plan to increase your knowledge and get the best out of yourself for tests, exams and examinations as well as to deepen your knowledge out of interest.

Patryk
Physics for IB SL&HL / CCVN / Boswell-Bèta and others
Physics can be a fascinating subject when thought with the right amount of real life applications and fun facts! The same is true when it comes to preparing for exams, or following a certain curriculum. All that is needed is the right approach. I can make an individual learning plan tailored to your needs for IB diploma program, CCVX and Boswell-Bèta exams or any other English/Dutch high school curriculum.

Kollol
Math Tutoring (Boswell-Beta/CCVX (VWO) Math A/B/C /IB/GCSE A-levels/ SAT)
I am specialized (>5 years of experience) in tutoring math for school (any level, but preferably higher level), including competitive exams such as the SAT, GRE, GMAT, and the IIT-JEE. This class is aimed to train 1) high-school students undergoing VWO or an IB curriculum, who are having problems following math at school or university, 2) Anyone who wishes to take the VWO Math-A/B/C entrance examinations by Boswell or CCVX and wants to train for that. Personally, I am currently working as a Quantitative Researcher of stock markets, and therefore analytical math is also a part of my job. The classes could be rigorous or lenient depending on the student. There will be periodic homework and I'll make sure that the student achieves her/his desired goals.

Narayan
Tuition in Math and Science (Physics, Chemistry and Math), Mathematical Part( GRE and SAT)
Mathematics course taught by an engineering graduate with over 14 years of teaching experience in mathematics up to the undergraduate level. I also have more than 3 years of experience in teaching and guiding standardized tests such as the GRE and SAT. I can help you learn these standardized courses (GRE, SAT, and even TOEFL) more effectively. I offer mathematics lessons for various levels of students, including pre-university students, IB (Math SL and Math HL) students, A-level students, European S6 and S7 level students, GCSE students, IGCSE students, as well as lower levels (primary) students. I also provide science courses in Physics and Chemistry for students up to the European upper secondary level, as well as IB and A-level students. Additionally, I offer Biology lessons for students up to the European Secondary level, GCSE level, and IGCSE level. Currently, I am teaching a diverse range of students, including: 1. GCSE Students 2. IGCSE Students 3. IB students 4. European School Students 5. AS/A level students 6. Lycée Vauban students 7. Athénée de Luxembourg students I also provide homework help for school students, and student progress can be assessed through periodic tests as per the requirements of parents or the students themselves. Note: Please note that while some of my students may have courses taught in French, German, or Swedish, my primary teaching language is English. As the subject is mathematics, it is generally easy to understand the task at hand, and I explain the answers in English.

Roland
Math/Calculus/Physics Tutoring for secondary/high school and university students
Math, calculus and physics can sometimes be overwhelming, especially when the theory or solving method is unclear. I am a cum laude Aerospace Engineering graduate from TU Delft and have helped other pupils with their problems since 2017. With my calm and stepwise explanation, a second view of the solution procedure is given, which is often what is missing. I tutor a variety of math and physics courses on both secondary and high school levels, but also at a scientific bachelor level. These can either be theory/exercise-based, but also exam preparation.

Johan
Tutoring Mathematics and Physics to secondary students
I tutor secondary school students (2nd-6th) who want better results in mathematics and physics. More than 90% of the students I help achieve their goals. I have a master's degree in mathematics and science and have been active for 15 years. The lessons take place mainly online, as if I were sitting next to you. If you are interested or have a question, please send us a message.

Peter
Mathematics (Calculus, Analysis, Algebra, ...) and physics (Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism)
I teach mathematics and physics at different levels. I always start with an introduction that is mainly focused on very simple concepts that are then followed by entry-level exercises. After this I expand the subject matter, which also includes advanced exercises.

Remco
Mechanical engineer tutors math, physics and more!
Hello students! My name is Remco, I have been working in technology for several years and I enjoy helping students and making them enthusiastic about various subjects. Since the beginning of this year I have been doing one-on-one homework supervision and exam preparation for secondary school students at all levels. My specialty is in the technical subjects, but I have a broad interest so that I can also help with other subjects, only in the field of languages I stick to Dutch and English. Let me know if you want to meet up sometime! About me: I am a mechanical engineer with about 8 years of work experience in the offshore and aerospace industry. During my studies I had many part-time jobs where I helped students with tutorials and I always enjoyed that very much. That is why I have picked up teaching a bit again and have been teaching various subjects at all levels of secondary school for six months. I find it very interesting to see what works well with students and like to use animations to convey knowledge when possible. In addition, I think humor is very important because school is serious enough!

Yas
Research, Assistance with research competence (OC) (doing research together)
I can help you with research and better understand your questions so that you can get higher marks. I help you to solve the research question in steps and get enough explanation for it so you can bring it to your teacher and you can be proud of your work.

Albert
Mathematics, Physics & Programming Tutorials, High School + Undergraduates
Are you a high school or high school student and have difficulty understanding and solving math or physics problems? Then I am someone who would like to help you with that. I often see that in standard classroom teaching is succinctly taught. As a result, the student misses out on the whole picture, making the teaching material and the problems vague and unclear. My goal is to take the time for each student to complete the whole picture and guide them through complex problems, so that the student can not only take tests and exams with ease, but also enjoy learning the material.

Raed
Study counseling Physics and Chemistry + Entrance exam Doctor / dentist
Physics and chemistry are very interesting subjects, but also subjects that many have difficulty with. Are you in secondary education or in higher education and do you have difficulty with these subjects, how to approach them, etc ... I like to give tutoring and I would like to help people not only understand these subjects but also how to do them correctly study so that you can also apply this to other courses. In addition to these two subjects, I also provide guidance for the Entrance Examination Doctor Dentist. I am a 2ba student in biomedical sciences at the University of Antwerp. I work patiently and first try to have an idea of my student so that I have a focused approach, we discuss the problems together, solve them together (plans, physics exercises, etc.). I am very enthusiastic and always try to give my full 100 percent to my student and to be a kind of friend to him. Hopefully I can help you with your further studies! Raed
