Currently graduated from the Master of Music Pedagogy at the University of Music of Geneva, professional violist in the Galaad quartet and in the Camerata du Léman, I propose courses of ALTO or VIOLON to make you love and discover the beauty of music. I offer regular and stimulating tutoring for all ages and all levels. I have a very good contact with children. Built and modular method (including solfeggio work), adapted to the needs and objectives of each to promote progression and the pleasure of playing in the search for sound. My courses offer: - introductory elements for beginners with solid postural foundations - a simple and attentive accompaniment for amateurs who sometimes wish to resume this practice after a long break - Accurate and rigorous coaching for motivated students who are heading for professional studies. Are addressed: - the study of the body gesture (breath release, postural support, stretching, importance and respect of the body) - ear development (singing, correctness) - the analytical mind (methodological structure, note reading and reinforced rhythm) - the inner musical expression that guides all the faculties (awareness of the inner song). Hello, I have extensive experience with students of all ages as a teacher of music theory, violin and viola. Custom classes, focused on student interests. I studied violin degree at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo in Spain and viola in Spain and at the Utrechts Conservatorium. The research of my final exam was about well-being and phisical education to improve and accelerate the learning process. I want my students to be aware of the importance of good posture and technique in order to enjoy the learning process without problems.

My teaching experience is more than 10 years and I have played with many symphonic orchestras and explored different music styles. As a graduated music pedagogue, I adapt my lessons to the student's needs and interests. My goal is to give an as complete as possible preparation in the technical and artistic fields while keeping the lesson a positive, creative and constructive experience for all students, from the youngest children who didn't learn to read yet to more mature people looking for new challenges. I teach violin and viola from beginner to advanced level and piano for beginners, integrating my lessons with tidbits of music theory in order to give the students wider knowledge and awareness. Group lessons for two or three students are also an option.

I give violin lessons (also viola) for children and adults. During the first lesson we will first get acquainted and I will explain about the posture and we will first make sound. It is important to first learn the basics well (rhythm, reading notes, posture and more), I always give nice songs and if students prefer to learn to play something that is always allowed. If the student can already play then we look together for the repertoire. It is also important to practice regularly, you don't have to do much, 10 minutes a day works fine as long as it is regular. I play more classical music myself, but I can of course also play modern well-known songs.

With me you will learn how to play violin/viola and study your favourite pieces either classical, jazz or any style you want to learn. Alongside how to play violin or viola we will also study basic music theory and you will be able to comprehend all the information on a sheet of music. I have also studied piano in my conservatory years and I can teach a good basic level for you to play your favourite songs. These lessons would also help you to play what you learn in the supplementary theory lessons such as chord symbols. Besides being very active as a performing violinist, I have also been teaching children and adults for years with pleasure. I graduated from the conservatory and also graduated as a music therapist. I am currently training to become an orthopedagogue. As a result, I have a lot of knowledge and patience when working with children/adults who need specific attention. Think of people with autism, gifted children and highly sensitive children. Of course, you are also welcome as an adult with or without additional challenges. I myself have 3 children, 1 gifted and 1 highly sensitive. This has allowed me to teach these children with even more enthusiasm, understanding and patience. It is also possible to indicate in advance in conversation what your child will encounter and how violin lessons can help. For example, with autistic children, think of making contact, feeling. Gifted children experience extra challenges and learn to deal with the frustration that something does not work right away. Of course everyone is welcome with me! I teach from different methods, but look at what is appropriate for each student. I also work on the development of sound performance, solfege, music theory and improvisation. I have a classic basic method, but work tailor-made and see what someone needs. Light pop / film music is also a possibility.

When teaching viola, my main goal is to make sure the student has fun and I try to cater as much as possible to their wants and needs. I incorporate music theory and history into the lessons to create a thorough understanding of the music. I am specified in classical music, but am open to experimenting with the student in other genres. Students of all levels are welcome! Lessons can be in English or Dutch.

Viola classes for all levels! My name is Raquel, and I am a graduate of the Viola Master at the Antwerp Conservatory. If you want to learn viola, this is your chance! We will start by knowing your level and what you would like to learn. From there we will work together as necessary. The most important thing is that you enjoy learning and playing music. I can also give musical language classes, or reinforcement of other subjects that you need. I also have experience as a violin teacher with beginner students. Classes can be in both Spanish and English.

This course is for viola and violin students from the beginner through the high school level, and any age from 5-99! My goal is for my students to foster a healthy and long-term relationship with their instrument. The course focuses on practicing and truly understanding technique, with an emphasis on listening. Weekly assignments tend to include technical exercises, scales, and classical pieces of the student's choice. Basic improvisation is also an interest of mine and, I find, a valuable experience for my string students. I believe repertoire is largely a matter of student taste. Students of mine have learned pieces in the Suzuki books and other classical repertoire volumes, but have also learned pop and fiddle songs according to their interest. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from the University of Puget Sound, where I graduated in 2015 before moving to Vienna to study privately for three years. I am currently on hiatus from a Master of Viola Performance degree at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague . I have been teaching violin intermittently since 2009. While my musical education is classical, my performance interests are much wider. I have performed jazz and pop improv, and am currently exploring how hip hop can be implemented on the viola and violin.
