Hello all, Spanish and French are my mother tongues. I have been teaching for many years in my spare time either in the evenings or during weekends. I simply like to do it and enjoy helping people of all ages either to start talking or reaching a good level. I use grammar books but also online exercises or games on paper depending on the needs and profile of the student.

French is a beautiful language. Whether it's to travel, exchange with French people, or understand more the culture of this unique country, you will only benefit from learning a new language, specifically French people are everywhere on this globe haha I can provide you with basic knowledge but also more advanced tips and exercises to improve your French. For the more advanced ones, I think the best way to master the language is to exchange every time on a different subject and debate on it as much as possible!

I have already given classes to many pupils (6 in total) so I have a good experience of giving classes. I am also flexible, so I can adapt to your needs and to your schedule. Having obtained a Bachelor’s in Literature and Philosophy, I can also teach students how to analyze literary and philosophical texts in both English and French. I already helped students obtain their French Baccalaureate with very satisfying grades (17/20 for example). Ik geef al lang taallessen vanuit Frankrijk, waar ik de afgelopen zes jaar gewoond en gestudeerd heb. Ik heb een diploma in Franse literatuur en spreek vloeiend. Omdat ik zelf ook Frans heb moeten leren, weet ik precies welke stappen je moet doorgaan om op niveau te komen, heb ik lesmateriaal beschikbaar en begrijp ik de moeilijke punten en hoe je ze overkomt als nieuwe spreker. Hi, I'm Lucie and I would be happy to help you learn French, whether it's from scratch or to improve your knowledge. I love getting my students to speak since I think practice is the secret to learning a language and improving your knowledge. I always structure my lessons according to themes based on real life (how to introduce yourself, how to make an appointment, do the shopping, go to the doctor, French at work, etc.). We will see grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation together. If you are intermediate, we will also do courses on texts. We will put both grammar and vocabulary into practice.

I like to use different methods to teach French to students. It can be through songs, drama, role play or videos. I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years. Because I have learned French myself (and I am still learning other languages), I can easily put myself in a student's shoes. I can teach in French, Dutch, English, German and Russian.

I work with a variety of online resources, all of which is shared with you after the lesson. For structure and to gauge progress, I also work with certain books depending on the level and the requirement. Unless you wish to focus on specific skills, I try to include speaking and listening during the session, while reading and writing exercises are given as homework. Grammar points are handled as and when they come up.
