I am a professional cellist, concert performer and teacher based in The Hague with extensive experience with children, young and adult people.
I create a personal and flexible plan for each student depending on your time and level.
I am an open musician and teacher so I can adapt to the student interests as well as teaching different kind of music as classical music, pop, film music, etc.
After my early studies in Barcelona, Spain, I went to study my Bachelor degree in the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht with Timora Rosler as my main subject teacher. Later on, I did my Master degree in cello performance in the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag with Larissa Gronenveld as cello teacher.

Do you like singing? Or do you walk around with songs in your head all day? Then take singing lessons with Deborah online or in Amstelveen Westwijk. We sing songs from different countries and times. We will also work on different rhythms, notes and tone exercises.

If you are busy singing you can even have a completely different feeling and you can ensure that you have extra energy for the rest of the day.

Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁
I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,...
After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw!

Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc.

Hi, I'm Nikola, Your Teacher.
I wasn’t born with a gift.
At five years old, I picked up an accordion that was almost bigger than me. I didn’t know it then, but that single moment would shape the rest of my life.

Since that day, I’ve dedicated over two decades to mastering this beautiful, misunderstood instrument.
