My name is Texenén, I am a flute/piccolo player living in Maastricht with more than 15 years of teaching experience. If you want to learn how to play this amazing instrument; if you already know but would love to take it out of the storage room and enjoy it again; if you need help to study the pieces you have to play in your wind band; or if you want to prepare exams, competitions or auditions I am here to help you to reach your goals. I have taught in music academies, masterclasses, and private lessons, from beginners to advanced students. I will work to help my students to improve their skills and keep them motivated. Welcome! These flute lessons are for everyone who loves this amazing instrument! It doesn't matter your level or your motivations! Here you will learn about all the technical aspects of the flute such as breathing-blowing, tonguing, articulation, flexibility, fingering... But I think it is also important that you can have other skills which, in my opinion, are completely necessary for a good musician. For example, we will work on your sight reading, we will analyze the pieces played so that you understand the harmony and the structure... we will work on musicality and style so that you can develop your own musical spirit. We will also work on study techniques so that you can learn the abilities that will make you completely independent. Graduated in France for a classical training, I offer courses of flutes (from piccolo to octobasse via bass and viola!). The content of the courses will be adapted to the needs of each one. I practice improvisation for quite a few years, the Brazilian music (choro) is one of my specialties. I also play in the French Flutes Orchestra, and I share with pleasure my practices and sound research such as multiphonic, flute and voice, circular breathing, whistle tones and other flatterzung! Music theory will be taught naturally if necessary. I can give classes in French, Portuguese (Brazil), English, Dutch.

I propose to give flute lessons for all levels, children or adults, for all styles as well as music theory. My goal for the student to be as high as possible and satisfied with a knowledge of musical notes.

Hi, I am Thore. I’m a German Bachelors degree flute student at the Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen. During my studies here I could and still can gather a lot of knowledge about methodology and pedagogy and could already make a few teaching experiences. For me teaching means learning from each other. Thus the student of course gets insight to my knowledge about music and instrumental technique but I will also learn a lot from the student about the individual factors of flute playing and music making in general. In my lessons I focus a lot on breathing and posture because for me these two are the most influential factors to healthy and beautiful playing. I am also open to incorporating the students musical interests e.g. Disney- and Pop-songs. Lessons can be conducted in Dutch, English and German.

I've been working as a professional musician for over 20 years. My specialties include free improvisation and jazz but I've performed in everything ranging from symphony orchestra's to DJs at venues including the Lincoln Center in NYC, North Sea Jazz Festival and the London Jazz Festival to name just a few. I've also taught at international schools and have successfully helped students progress through the Trinity music system. I have a studio in my house so lessons are possible here or at your place. I have been performing in various ensembles and venues around Europe and Israel, playing baroque, medieval, renaissance and contemporary music which is the vast repertoire of the recorder. I graduated from the Amsterdam Conservatory and the Royal Conservatory of the Hague. I have been teaching in various platforms for over 20 years and I adapt the lessons to your needs, wishes and level. During our lessons I will teach you the skill set of mastering the recorder. Obtaining good technique, working on good posture and healthy breathing along side learning about the instrument and it's history. Learning to play the recorder is an opportunity to expend your horizons, be creative and learn the art of listening.
