Hello to all of you! I welcome you to my profile. You would like to learn French and I would also like to teach you French. Fortunately, French is my native language. I live in Brussels where I have taught many French courses to French speakers and also to non-French speakers in the framework of FLE (French as a Foreign Language), mostly face-to-face and also some distance learning. I want to expand the use of distance learning. Hence my presence on this site. My greatest wish is to help you make as much progress as possible in French. To this end, I use a judicious combination of oral and written exchanges. I use these conversations to introduce grammatical concepts and expand your vocabulary. All this in a fun and friendly atmosphere! You will have to express yourself a lot in French, because my level of Dutch is average. I like to use different methods to teach French to students. It can be through songs, drama, role play or videos. I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years. Because I have learned French myself (and I am still learning other languages), I can easily put myself in a student's shoes. I can teach in French, Dutch, English, German and Russian.

If your child is having difficulties in school, I would love to be able to help them overcome them. I had the opportunity to work in several non-profit organizations (Schola ULB, Youth Club, CIFA, ABEF) where I helped young adolescents understand their subject in French. I also helped them prepare for their exams, including the CEB and CE1D. We will work together on their lessons, we will review the vocabulary and grammar they need to know and we will work on their difficulties in order to overcome them. In view of the current situation, I teach only online.

I create a learning experience (content and pace) adapted to your needs: speaking fluently, DELF / DALF test preparation, or just to have conversations to help with travel or relocation. We can have our lessons in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoying various aspects of learning a language. It's not just about memorizing complex conjugations! I work with a variety of online resources, all of which is shared with you after the lesson. For structure and to evaluate progress, I also work with certain books depending on the level and the requirement. Unless you wish to focus on specific skills, I try to include speaking, listening and reading during the session, while writing exercises are given as homework. Grammar points are handled as and when they come up.

I am a french native. I created a special course to study all the content of Fide Exam in 30 lessons (speaking lesson) in addition to a homework program (for the writing and listening part of the exam). My class are fun and included an application to study your vocabulary on your smartphone.

I love Italy, its culture and language, and this resulted in a Master in Italian (and a Bachelor in French). Before I moved to Sweden I travelled with my former husband throughout the world. We lived in Australia, USA and in Europe speaking all their different languages. So, languages are a kind of “my thing”.
